6 TIPS TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC MARKSENFEST EXPERIENCE:

  • PARTY SAFE

Make sure to keep tabs on how much alcohol you’re consuming. Binge drinking is one of the leading causes of death in young Australians, so be aware not just on your total drink count, but also how quickly you’re drinking.
Marksenfest takes a ZERO tolerance to illicit drugs. If you are found to be in possession or under the influence of illicit drugs, you will be evicted from the venue immediately.
Illicit drugs may seem like a great idea, but they are extremely dangerous. You don’t know what’s in them or what effect they will have on your body. Do not mix illicit drugs and alcohol, that’s just asking for trouble.

  • REMAIN HYDRATED AND COOL

You can soon find yourself in trouble after partying in the sun to your favourite acts in front of the Marksenfest stages all day.
Make sure to avoid dehydrating by constantly drinking water and seeking shade breaks throughout the day.
Make sure to wear a hat and sunscreen and don’t be afraid to have a water in between drinks to ensure you’re ready to go for the headline acts late in the day!

  • BRING YOUR MEDICATION

Remember to bring ANY medication you may need throughout the day and after the festival concludes. Marksenfest has first aid facilities, but does not have a medical service.
If you are taking any medication prior to or including the festival day, please ensure to check how they may react with alcohol.

  • LEARN YOUR WAY AROUND

When you’re at Marksenfest make sure to spend a few minutes locating important facilities such as:

- Toilets

- Emergency exits

- First aid tents

- Food stalls

  • WATCH YOUR DRINKS

Drink spiking is when a person deliberately adds alcohol or any other drug to your drink without you knowing. This can have seriously detrimental affects to your body.
DO NOT share with or accept drinks from people you do not know or trust. Even better, make sure you get your own drinks and do not leave your drink unattended at any time.

  • DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP

The Marksenfest team is here to help you!
No matter how big or small an issue is, please do not hesitate to contact any members of the team. They are all in the same uniform which is communicated through the Marksenfest Facebook pages prior to the gates opening.
